There's so many classic Cantonese dishes here, and a lot of seafood options. I especially enjoyed the bean curd rolls, but the special fried rice with octopus and shrimp was also very flavorful and delicious. No push carts here but the food came out quickly after ordering. The interior is elegant and the restaurant is quite lively with lots of customers.

Came for a good brunch with the Gym fam. Always such good food and promising dim sum, good carb fill. Some of my favorite highlights that are a must order on your next dine in: - Crab fried sticky rice (freaking amazing the abundance of ingredients like Chinese sausage, full-size king crab and egg dish was immaculate. Not to mention the chefs cutlery work on fine chopping! - fried crispy taro balls, with pork - Roast duck - all things egg custard (steam bun, pineapple bun... baked bun. It's a must!) - stick to the original original dim sum dishes, you eat and order here, I promise it's solid! Unfortunately, unfortunately, they ran out of roast pork by the time we got there, since it's the last hour of lunch around 2 PM I wasn't too surprised because it's one of the best things on the menu . Amazing time and chat here . they let us stay past 3 PM and eat and enjoy ourselves. such a good time for friends who have an experienced dim sum before, this definitely blew them away. From the many dining moments, I came here since I was a child, to now, their food has always held ground. There are new dim sum spots recently opened mainly for the aesthetic , hyped up and, definitely overstated with their price points. these are probably more for the ABC, newer generation of Asians but it's safe to say that Koi is always the OG spot that will never lose their shine.

Waited 30 mins for 2 pp. Long wait but worth it. Service is fast. No more carts. Food was amazing esp the espresso ribs and pan fried noodle. Seafood was so good. Place seems fancy but dress code is casual. Great place for dim sum.

15 years since my last review, and Koi Palace retains its five-star rating in my book. We were a large group ordering familiar dishes and virtually every item was a cut above the taste, ingredients and preparation at your neighborhood dim sum place. Only exception was the pork bao which is a non-char siu preparation and a bit measly on the filling, The star of the show for me was the #425 tripe dish: bible tripe steamed with green onions next to honeycomb tripe cooked with soy sauce atop some daikon spears. Tripe lovers' heaven! They now take reservations which you definitely should avail yourself of to avoid a long wait. We were lucky to get our party of 5 seated in about 35 minutes but were originally told it would ba an hour.

We went here for dinner for the first time right when they open at 5:30 on a Monday. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, definitely more expensive decor than I've seen at other dim sum places. Since it was understandably dinner, most of the dim sum options were extremely limited as small appetizers. We were with two people who never had dim sum before, however, so I wished there was a slightly bigger dim sum menu for dinner as well. The food was very good and reasonably portioned too. I recommend the honey walnut prawns and the pan seared pork chop. We were a group of four and 2-3 dishes with a few dim sum appetizers was enough to satisfy all of us. The service was okay, they don't really come up to check on you much so you have to flag them down most of the time. There's always a few people walking on the floor though so it's not hard to find someone.

Great food, my friend and I ended up ordering way too much items because we wanna try everything, and kinda drunk. The roasted pig suckling is THE MUST HAVE item. I really like the beef meatballs too. Everything else was also great tho, the only one that I was kinda disappointed with was the egg tarts, the fillings were a bit hard and dry. Everything else was almost perfect, just like how I had them in Guangzhou where I grew up in. The guy who was taking our order widen his eyes and said huh? As I asked him if they sell vodka. Idk if that's kinda rude, like you shouldn't judge people trying to have a good time, right? Even tho it's day drinking at 1pm on a Tuesday? I'm just saying, not blaming anyone since it is probably pretty rare. Anyway I will definitely come back again for the great food. Can't wait to try more items.

Recently visited this very authentic Chinese restaurant and we were quite impressed with the overall experience. To start, we ordered the Peking duck, which was exceptionally well-cooked and delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying buns were equally delightful--soft and full of flavor. The sauce that came with the duck was delicious and complemented the dish perfectly. We also tried the fried rice, which was decent, and the water spinach, which was very well-cooked and seasoned just right. Both dishes added nicely to the meal, making it a well-rounded experience. One of the standout aspects was the amazingly fast service. Despite the restaurant being busy, our food arrived quickly, and the staff were attentive and efficient throughout our visit. Overall, the combination of authentic flavors, well-prepared dishes, and quick service made for a wonderful dining experience. We left feeling satisfied and will definitely be coming back for more.

It's good, but Koi Palace have gone down in quality over the years, and the restaurant is in need of a remodel job and carpet replacement. It's no wonder the restaurant is not full (about 40% full) on a Friday night near Mother's Day weekend. Between the 6 of us, we ordered a variety of dishes, everything tasted good but at not as good as other Chinese restaurants at similar price points (e.g. the ones a bit down the Peninsula). - Fish Maw Soup: Mediocre to good. Lacks complexity in flavor and tastes like fish maw and water, but nonetheless the fish maw is of decent quality - Salt n Pepper River Shrimp: This type of shrimp is smaller in size but is packed with flavors. They did a good job and the fish is full of wok-hay and the shrimp is fresh and sweet - Cauliflower with Beef: a rather classic dish. Good - Chicken Stew in clay pot: good, but nothing special - Combo BBQ plate: suckling pig and soy sauce chicken. Both excellent and very tasty! - Soy sauce chow mein: I always like their soy sauce chow mein... :) - Clay Pot Rice with Chinese sausage, preserved duck and veggies: very good with excellent flavors !! Rice cooked just right with some crunch at the bottom. Perfect. - Custard Bun: stable item and always good at Koi - Goji Berry dessert: very good Overall everything tasted very mediocre, with 2 good dishes. It's unfortunate that Koi is no longer as good as I remember this place to be. It's an OK.
